The Yamaha AN1x Synthesizer mailing list

The Space Animals have been reviewing our new material. Sad to say 
there'almost no AN1X on the album-mostly I'm using it as a 
controller. I've got this idea to use synth sounds for song 
transition. For example use a filter sweep like a drum fill to move 
from the verse to the chorus. What tricks do you use? What kind of 
sounds can I use instead of the traditional crash to start a new 
section? How about some tricks to build up the choruses? We're 
keeping the mix fairly sparse focusing on the vocals and the rhythm 
so there's not a lot of room for screaming solos. We're using 
acoustic drum loops. How do I fit my electronica leanings into a 
garage band format?
