Hello,

umm .. hard to say depends how they implemented the algorithm   
.. i would guess is easier to get it out of a square 
but again a triangle can be as good .. 

why don't u get a simple oscilloscope program in the PD 
and connect the AN1X to the audiocard and monitor carefully 
how to get the best sinus and ... let us know :-))
