Still finding cool programming tools. On Jon's advice, and after listening to recordings, I've thinned down my sounds, using single oscillator patches, cutting out the reverb, cutting down the sustain. This fits in the mix nicely but the pads are anemic. So I was playing around in split mode, putting pads on the left side, leads on the right. I kept messing with this lead but I couldn't get it right. I switched it over to poly and added some more sweep. Now I have two pad patches. I tuned the left side up a couple of octaves so it covers the same range as the right side.Play an D chord with the left hand, an B minor chord with the right-all these harmonies drift in and out. In dual mode you can have up to 4(actually 20 in unison mode) oscilaltors playing the same note. You get the guitar, the singer and the bass all playing the same note and it's overkill. In split mode you have two different synth patches and you can play these real wide chord voicings.Very psychedelic.A little delay adds some space to the sound. When I get ten or more patches I'll post them. Rainbow Jimmy http://www.spaceanimals.com http://www.soundclick.com/theelectricstarlightspaceanimals
