I've not double checked the doc, but I'd wager it 16 Bit.

I can't see any benefit to recording an AN1x at 96khz aside from not 
having to manage a mix with multiple files at multiple sampling 
rates. If you've the equipment and resources to exploit 96khz more 
power to you :-)
