Re: Atmospheric Choir sound test

2005-03-06 by Andrea TONI

i think u confuse the Q/mQ with the UWave I/Wave/II/XT/
the Q/mQ is analog modeling similar to AN1X
and they have very few waveforms.
The Wavetables are only on the UWave I/Wave/II/XT/ family

it is indeed pretty hard to get a real human choir out of an
analog subtractive synth, u can try something .. but it will
sound very much like an 80s vocoderish sound then the one u are after

You can also get some pretty good choir sounds with the Waldorf Q/mQ
but they have wavetables with alternative waveforms some of which are
well suited for that and the Virus (I think) has 64 spectral
waveforms. They both have the "unfair advantage" of more waveforms!
