Methinks perspective required is. Rather than get all heated over the extra FEW seconds it takes to hold the down arrow to scroll, perhaps a week in a local homeless shelter working with people who can only dream of one day having a warm safe home never mind a PC to connect to the internet and have the absolute pleasure of reading other people's thoughts. I hear them saying, "There's a netiquette??. I have to SCROLL?? I am off back to my cardboard box and water soup". It amazes me how often this comes up. Who cares? If you do care, you need something else to care about and on a much grander scale than this. Somehwere on this subject a post was made talking about having no time to link an entire etiquette page to the group, but the time was taken to find such a page in the first place and post a link to it up there several times, even correcting it when it apparently did not work. C'mon people, there are much bigger fish to fry.
