Nope, Austria is '.at'. Usually, the abbreviation of the top level domain is
in the local language. So that's why the top level domain for Crotia is
'.hr', because they call it Hrvatska over there.

The only country that breaches this commonly accepted scheme is
Great-Britian. Their officially assigned top level domain is '.gb', but they
had to do it their way and call themselves '.uk'. The documention on top
level domains mentions this; it also says "and they drive on the wrong side
of the road as well".

Perhaps we should all try to get an '.an' domain. It's probably Andorra or
Antigua, or some rock in the sea with more than twelve birds on it: I think
that is the criterium to be eligible for a seperate top level domain. :)

LOL...yup, true. Have you heard the story about this little island
called "Tuvla" or something like this? They sold their top-level
domain ".TV" for a few hundreds of million dollars...and the island
has only one or two thousand citizens...you can bet, they have a
comfi life now...hehe

Mark my words: domains will lose much, *very* much of their value in a few
years time.

Anyway, the '.an' domain is for the Netherlands Antilles, a group of islands
in the Caribean. If you'd want such a domain, here you can find whom to
contact:

http://www.ripe.net/ripencc/mem-services/general/indices/AN.html

Have fun. :)

As soon as Broadband Internet is common, and we all surf with not
less than ATM-speed (622Mbit/s)...and when it comes to new top-level
domains...ICANN will rule it all.

No Elson, you musn't bring your country down. The Venga Boys are really
Dutch. The producer behind all this is Wessel van Diepen, a famous radio DJ.

We, as Dutch, should also apoligise for the wooden tulips, the porcelain
blue-and-white windmills, the junkyard they call Amsterdam, the little shit
that put his finger in the dike (and I doubt that it was his finger anyway),
the lousy weather, the fact that we are the most aggressive drivers of
Europe (no kidding), and of course 2 Unlimited.

Then again, we have competitive prices on synth gear.

So the two girls and two boys are just posers/models? I always thought the two
guys were the producers and the actual "Venga Boys" anf the girls were the
singers.

Or maybe they're 4 Dutch musicians pretending to Puerto Rican/American...

I was recently told that the two girls were actually boys... you know, as in "vengaBOYS".

And also, correct me if I'm wrong, but the island of Ibiza is pronounced "ibeetha", so how could a European group get it so wrong to say it as "Ibeeza"???
