Re: [AN1x] Faulty black key

Don't know your answer for a single key not working except for the key/contacts itself but....

I need to take out my keyboard section apart to replace 3 broken keys....which screws on the keyboard assembly do the minimum for key removal or did you just unscrew away until it all came apart?

I have a black key on my AN1x keyboard which does not work (B minor I
think - I'm a guitarist so forgive me!, every other key works
perfectly. I have taken the keyboard aprat and everything looks fine,
rubber carbon contacts and pressure pads all fine - what could be
  causing this?

Un-screw all the screws on the external base.

The panel then comes away quite easily.

Now you will see inside your AN1X -there is a little
PCB just of the long PCB with the keyboard contacts,
undo the 4 screws for this PCB, but leave wires
attached, unplug 3 wire cable labelled 'AFT'. Now you
can access fully the keyboard PCB, carefully unplug
the ribbon connector from the long keyboard PCB- you
have to pull up the little locking pins on the side of
the socket, don't just try and pull the ribbon cable
straight out. Now undo all the screws for the keyboard
contact PCB - there are alot.

There is a plastic membrane which covers the rubber
contact strip, key are underneath.

It's all pretty obvious when you can see it all.

I have checked the contacts and they look perfect.
