My sustain pedal does not work

My sustain pedal does not work

2006-10-11 by spiramus2006

Hi guys...new to the group....The issue is that my sustain pedal does not work with the
an1x...I suspect it must be a polarity issue...however I don't seem to be able to find the
polarity section in the an1x in order to change it.....Any ideas?...thank you...spiramus

There is no polarity setting on the AN1x :-(

Double check a) you have the pedal plugged into the right jack and b)
the FS and FC settings under Utility Control are set accordingly.
Don't recall the default settings off the top of my head, will double
check later...

Otherwise you are probably right and the polarity of your pedal does
not match the AN1x.

Follow up to previous post: FC = MIDI CC 4, FS = MIDI CC 64 These cab be altered
using the Ctrl device and Ctrl No under UTILITY/SETUP

Hello !
if i remember well the contact inside the pedal must be a "normally
closed" model .... Check if the tip and the body of the jack are shorted
when you don't push the pedal and open when pushing. On some universal
pedal models (not the factory one) you can choose either "normally
closed" or "normally open" contact inside the pedal .
Cheers!
