AN1X Keyboard Case Recommendations

AN1X Keyboard Case Recommendations

2011-06-28 by Andy Funnell

Hi all:

Please can anyone recommend a good case for the AN1X?

Starting gigging soon and want something fairly strong but preferably not more money than what I paid for the keyboard itself (150).

MTIA,

Andy

Gator or SKB... both make padded cases for 61-key keyboards. SKB also makes ATA type cases, but of course you can expect to pay more for the privilege.

Ahh, one of the downsides of gigging with old keyboards: a new case costs more than the keyboard is worth! Try to find a used case in a music store that sells used gear, or a pawnshop (not online; shipping cost would be more than the *case* is worth). It's not likely to be an exact fit, but you can get extra foam cheap at a craft/fabric shop.

You have to go visit shops to find used cases, but visiting used music shops is part of the fun for some of us. :-)

Try these websites, they have cheap unbranded products but sometimes
interesting :
http://www.musicstore.com/
http://www.thomann.de

They sell everywhere in the European community.
Cheers.

Another cheap but effective solution :
buy some 8 ~10 mm thick plywood, a handful of hardware and foam as above
....
