Good piano patch?

Good piano patch?

2011-11-07 by Oliver Fairhall

Hi folks,

I have a friend who is learning piano, and I will lend him my AN1x for
him to practice at home.

I was wondering if anyone knows of a decent piano patch (or patches)
that I could load up for him? I would like patches with full 10 note
polyphony, and as close as possible to an acoustic piano sound. It's
just for practice, so realism isn't super critical.

From what he described, his class is using 5 octave rompler keyboards.

I figure he can borrow the AN1x for 6 months, and if he's still
practising then, I will advise him on what to buy for himself.

Cheers folk,

Oli

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

I found some decent piano patches in the files section of the group.
They should do fine.

Cheers,

Oli

http://home.arcor.de/richardon/2011/EMUx2.an1
Basic isnt FM but sawtooth. Some FM Overtones are just added.
It was a lot of work and I use the sound even on stage. Its a copy of the Emulator Grand Piano

Re: [AN1x] Good piano patch?

2011-11-14 by richardon

Hi Oli

I modified the classical piano sounds to use it for solo playing and praticing.
Making it less bright with new mixes and EQ and more dynamical.
I also added E-Piano and Vibes to the file. They were easier to program.
Perhaps your friend can test it.
I uploaded it to yahoo group an exchanged the old Version on my homepage (still same name):
 http://home.arcor.de/richardon/2011/EMUx2.an1

Actually i improve the mellotron Sounds using the vintage EMU collction. I think now
I am very close to the original. In some weeks the sounds will be ready
But piano lessions with mellotron wouldnt be a good idea :-)

Best regards
richy

Hi,

Thanks for following up on this. My friend has no way to test the new
patches, I'm sorry. I'll try to check them out when I get my synth back
from him.

Cheers,

Oli
