Yes the JP is a better machine but the price is much, much higher.

This statement is by far, the most utterly crap (sorry, 'bout the language) I have ever heard. First of all the CS2X should have been the CS1X littlebrother. It's a bad try to make a better CS1X. Next, the CS2X uses samples which you can manipulate through filters, the An1X is a synth. The An1X gives you a wider range of synthsounds, and a better sound. To say the CS2X is better than the AN1X is IMO a poor judgement in gear.

I will disagree with you here. Yes, it's easier to
tweak and control with the sliders and knobs on the
JP, but I don't think it sounds any better than the
AN. I played a JP8000 last night in a local store and
to be honest, I prefer the sound of the AN over the
JP. 

I wouldn't say 1 is a better synth over the other as
both have their strenghts, but the AN is definitely a
better value than the JP8000.
