An1x consoles for performer/dig performer

hello people, i got kinda bored today and decided i was gonna finish up my consoles for the an1x. all total there are 5 of them. one for the synthy parameters using the second control matrix. i initially was making them with sysex strings, but then someone on the list enlightened me to the two control modes. you just gotta remember to fire up the an with the function button held down to get into the second mode. the next 3 are for each effect block. performer's consoles aren't as thorough as i'd like them to be, but suffice it to say i think i did as good a job as they will get. you can't tell exactly what the values are unless you've navigated your an1x to the particular parameter your tweeking or in the case that your one of those people who can multiply and divide 3 digit numbers in their head, on the fly, there are tables which correspond to real world values in the second manual. what is nice about the sysex for the efx section is that each sysex string works universally for every parameter in each algorithm(msb-lsb), what isn't so great is that there are different parameter change values between the different efx algo's parameters. so i had to set each knob or slider to whatever the highest parameter value was, between the algo's(gosh, shoot me now). another disadvantged thing about performer's consoles is that any parameter change rougly above 1000 will step coursely. this problem only affects the delay console and it's delay and feedback times. these both have 6599 different values. soooo....they unfortunatley step in increments of 8 all the time(will have to talk to motu about this) :(. the parameter names themselves you'll have to refer to the table i put beside the knobs and sliders for the variation efx and delay efx consoles, most are roughly the same, but some efx have different functions. it's a little akward, but that's the price you pay for getting on screen efx tweeking in your sequencer! bleh bleh bleh, the last console is one for the onboard partially parametric eq. most of these consoles only give you a rough idea of what values your tweaking to, but i much prefer sliders and knobs and only roughly knowing what their value is than a few dinky rocker switches and rotary knob and knowing the value, sometimes...that is hehe. hasta luego, --- christian
