Cheap Midi Merger....

Cheap Midi Merger....

2001-02-15 by dkblade@bigpond.net.au

Anyone know any sites where I can get a cheap 2 in 2 out MIDI merger?
Or better yet a DIY version, Preferably PIC driven.
AN1x + PC = crap for live performance. I need to merge clock from my
Electribe S with the out of the AN1x and send back to AN1x and Audity
2K Thru to Electribe S. Sync is a bitch when you have 3 separate
clocks all slightly different.

Any takers?

MIDIMAN makes a series of MIDI Accessories - stand alone MIDI Thru and
MIDI Merge boxes. Their MErge box is a 2x2 and MSRP is $99. Once upon a
time there was a company called Anatek who made similar boxes for a
variety of purposes but they seem to have disappeared. You might check
with Kenton too http://www.kenton.co.uk/ and here's something I found
at zZounds fro mMIDI Solution(?) http://www.zzounds.com/love.music?p=
p.MSLQUADMERGPROC&z=986554373576

good luck.

Awhile back I bought an Anatek 8->1 midi merger on Ebay for $75. This has been
a fantastic unit. It, along with my 8x8 midi interface allows me to have 15
synths with two way communication to my PC. :-)
