re: sweeping swirling sounds

Hi DMANX I don't have a computer editor so no anx files but try these tricks. Use effects-rotating speaker, phase shifter, flange, chorus. A tube amp or a fuzz box can thicken the sound nicely. For sweeps-use the filter envelope. Set the attack number to something higher than 50. There's also a knob for the amount the filter envelope affects the sound. Sometimes I set this for a high number, sometimes for a high negative number. LFO-set it to triangle and use it to affect the filter, the synch pitch, the pulse modulation, the pitch modulation. Start out with low numbers for LFO speed-1-19 and turn it up until you get the sound you want.Once you find a cool sound, try experimenting to see what the other LFO waves do to the sound.Try setting some things to LFO 1 and some to LFO 2. Have 2 different LFO speeds. Set each scene with a different sound and different settings, then layer them-use dual-for a thicker sound. Don't despair-your card will do anything you need an analog synthesizer to do. It does take time to learn how to program it, but learning how to program it is a lot of fun.
