Hi!
I was wondering if anyone knew how to find out the ROM version on a
particular AN1x?

During the power up sequencer, hold down the '0', '-', and '+' keys. 
This key sequence displays the OS version of your AN1x and places the 
unit in test mode.

Thanks! And I assume that powering off and on again, will return it to a
normal state?

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
