All drugs containing Phenylpropanolamine are being recalled
Also, please pass this on to everyone you know. STOP TAKING
anything containing this ingredient. It has been linked to increased
hemorrhagic stroke (bleeding in brain) among women ages 18-49 in three
days after starting use of medication. Problems were not found in men,
but the FDA recommended that everyone (even children) seek alternative
medicine.The following medications contain Phenylpropanolamine:

"I just found out and called the 800# on the container for
Triaminic and they informed me that they are voluntarily recalling the
following
medicines because of a certain ingredient that is causing strokes and
seizures in children:

They are asking you to call them at 800-548-3708 with the lot
numberon the box so they can send you postage for you to send itt
back to them, and they will also issue you a refund.

THIS IS SERIOUS STUFF. DO PASS ALONG TO ALL ON YOUR MAILING
LIST sopeople are informed. They can then pass it along to their
families.

Well, I just did a bit of a search around and it appears the warnings are
well documented. (Does that make it true? Who knows?)

Still, I bet this 'chain letter' is probably going to clog up a fair few
mail servers over the coming weeks.

Best we're aware I guess.

No doubt.

IMO, it's best to refrain from spreading this type of unsolicited, OT 
spam regardless of how well intentioned it might appear. I find it 
doubtful many list members are looking to the AN1x-list for 
medical guidance.
