Hi all

Todays bizarre question. I have my AN1x as the master keyboard which 
controls my Korg N364. When I first boot everything up, my Korg is 
out of tune. I simply need only to press the global settings on my 
Korg which brings up the master tune menu. This shows all is well, 
i.e. the setting is 00. I DO NOT adjust this setting, I simply go 
back to the bank I was in and hey presto the tuning is restored. 
Switching the Korg on without the AN1x and it stats up in perfect 
tune. So its deff the AN1x thats affecting the tuning of the Korg. 
Master tune on AN1x is set to 0. An1x always starts up in tune. Any 
ideas?

As most of my friends will concur, I am a big picture man and am 
always preaching that people should step back and not simply accept 
the obvious solution but look at what else it could be. I did not 
follow my own advice and immediately blamed the AN1x. It seemed like 
that must be the answer since if I took it out the loop, all was 
well. It was only after something Gary said about settings on the 
Korg that I looked at it differently. It turns out that the user 
scale on the Korg was incorrect with E and B being set at -52. I do 
not know however why on its own these settings did not affect the 
tuning yet connecting it to my AN1x did. Perhaps I will never know. 
The solution was simply to set all keys to 00 and save. And now it 
works. So a slap on the wrist for me for not practicing what I 
preach, an apology to Annie for making her responsible and a thank 
you to all of you who came up with suggestions. Life is full of 
surprises and thank the lord for that.

If I remember correctly, that's an arabic tuning!  Have fun :-)
