Re: [AN1x] Re: User Equipment List

I have a PC AMD 1.2ghz running Buzz Tracker (sequencing, and effects) along with Yamaha AN200/DX200, Minikorg 700s, and the Microkorg. Alesis M1 MK2 Monitors, and Behringer ub1204fx mixer (crap!).

I seem to have learned all my gear very quickly.. its just the pile of VST plugins that I have had a chance to sit down with. I am hoping to pick up some sort of ROM based synth eventually.

I use Cubase on Mac.

I have far more stuff than I currently use. Trying to limit this is
deliberate, to force a deeper understanding of the units I do use. In
use:

AN1
DX200
Roland U-20
Kurzweil Micro Piano
Casio VZ-8m

I do have and use some VSTi stuff:

Model-E
VB-1
LM-4

P.S. Other than the AN1, what do people prefer to work with?

Cheating on your An1x :D

Besides the An1X I prefer my Roland MKS50 (=Alpha Juno2), my MicroKorg and
my Nord Micro Modular.

I love my Roland MKS-50 too, mainly because of the PG-300 programmer,
as it gives you all the sliders, right in front of you, though the
AN1x is of course a much more powerful beast.

Apart from that, it tends to be Reason, which I have recently got
hold of.

Out of sheer pig-headedness, I would pay big-time eurodollar to
dominate my Roland D-110, and learn to love it, rather than seething
at it through gritted teeth (can one seeth in any other way? I think
not) every time I fire it up, with its little screen staring me
smugly in the face, saying "you don't know how to use me, ner ner na
nerr nerrrr...."

I'll get my coat.
