mega distortion

I've been playing with the effects and set up a suitably Black Sabbath Iron Man type patch on scene 1. Now I wanted a totally out of control sound for scene 2 so I turned up the feedback, turned up the fm all the way, set the oscillators 4 octaves apart, and cranked the ring modulation-with of course the amp simulator on 11. I also boosted the release value so the out of tune distortion would just hang there. Then I set everything to morph. Sigh. I get an intersting sound but it doesn't morph from manic to insane-more like manic to slightly odd. The work around-I set the ribbon controller to activate the reverb (set it on insane, nothing subtle allowed). I play a lead on scene 1, touch the ribbon controller, the reverb works as a sustain and keeps the sound sustaining when I switch to scene 2. If you play this loud at home through a 60s bass tube amp and a 15 inch speaker, you're almost guaranteed a divorce. For more insanity set the X axis for reverb depth and the Z axis for delay depth-turn the delay feedback way up naturally. For my next experiment, I'm going to try using the eq to get that heavy metal mid scoop distortion sound. My wife suggested I do this while she's at work.
