Re: [AN1x] Broken key...

Same thing happened to mine. Replacement keys are about a pound each and arrive the next day from yamaha. I unscrewed my machine. Had one look at it and then rang an engineer. It costs me about fifty quid. But maybe someone the engineer in your area charges less? tom

Subject: [AN1x] Broken key...
Hi folks!
Sorry if this one has been up for discussion before, but my 4 year
old daughter and a friend of 37! were messing about and managed to
send my AN1x crashing to the floor and damaging (only) one of the
keys.
Now, i think someone said there were 68 screws or similar to undo
just to get to the keyboard mechanism inside... has anyone done this
and replaced / fixed a key themselves?
I'm slightly worried now that I've removed the case, found a couple
of bits of broken key... it's really hard to see inside and look at
the mechanism, can anyone offer any advice...
I'm devastated as I use it as a control synth and don't have another
keyboard to use, and am not a rich man....
Any help / advice appreciated!
Thanks
steve
