The Yamaha AN1x Synthesizer mailing list

Has anyone out there got any .an1 patch files? I find them much more 
handy than midi files (or is there a way of extracting single voices 
from midi files?). The only drawback is that the an1x editor isn't 
able to receive info from the synth... (or am I wrong?)

There are a great many user contributed AN1x Voices in the files section here at 
Yahoo! Groups:

The majority are in .an1 format but many of the banks supplied by Yamaha are in 
.mid and .syx format.

You are mistaken - AN1xEdit can transfer and receive sysex from the AN1x. If you're 
having problems then post back to the list with the specifics of your configutation 
and perhaps somebody will try to help.
