sending midi clock settings in An1x edit

sending midi clock settings in An1x edit

2004-02-21 by andy4tune

I'm using both a PLG card and an AN1x with Cubase SX. Is there an
easy way to send a command to set either of these components to
tempo: MIDI or is a case of some gruesome sysex command? I know that
I can use An1X edit and set the tempo settings by the send command
but I quite like to use some of the user bank sequences as they are
without messing the sounds themselves

Thanks for your help

Since Tempo/Sync is set at the Voice level - not Globally - I think you are limited to
the two options you've mentioned :-/

Thanks Jon. I thought that might be the answer. So I tried sending
bulk dumos through Cubase SX and there seems to be a bit of glitch
there as well. It records the sysex well enough, but doesn't seem to
play it back and dump the sounds back to the AN1x - any clues?

Cheers

Andy

I beleive there is an option in Cubase to filter, i.e., disable, SysEx dumps - check your
preferences. And of course make certain MIDI Channels are set correctly. I know there
had been a bug regarding SysEx dumps in the last release of VST but I doubt this was
carried over to SX (I use Logi cAudio so I'm not speaking from experience, just 2nd
hand news ;-)

Cheers Jon-

I'm finding all sorts of problems but by bit, which all seem to be
related to things I want to do and with Cubase. Thanks for your
replies.

Andy
