an200 track mute question

an200 track mute question

2004-03-04 by oliverb@nbnet.nb.ca

Hi folks;

I've been lurking for a while, not wanting to walk blindly into a dangerous place, but it seems like it is safe enough to surface. :) I am a hobby synth user living in eastern Canada. I'm fairly new to keyboards/midi/sound designing, but have been playing guitar poorly since the seventies and many years ago was in the audio-visual production industry.

I have been greatly pleased with my new an200, which is quite a different beast than my other gear, and I know there is lots of exploring to be done and I may have missed something. Please forgive any really dumb questions!

My question today deals with track muting in pattern play mode. No problem using the first four buttons on the keyboard to toggle tracks off and on, and likewise no problem using the panel "mute" buttons to toggle either the synth track or all three rythmn tracks. However, the manual says that the last mentioned switch can act as an eight-way toggle which will step through the track combos with each punch. I can't get this to happen. Does anyone here use this function? Am I missing a setting somewhere, or is my machine malfunctioning? Any comments would be appreciated

Thanks everyone and have a fine day.

Bruce

Bruce,

Sorry I'm unable to answer your question - if you don't get a reply
from this list you might try and cross post to the DX200 list at
