Novation just came out with a new synth that's also a massive 
controller, has mic preamps, and runs on batteries. Take the 
keyboard, bongos, and guitar to the beach, add a laptop and instant 
record.

Novation gear sounds *really* good to me but I'd watch out for the build quality - 
that's seems to be a reoccuring issue for them. You might want to give it a few 
months to see how it set's in before spending your money (just like us almost-ion 
user's ;-)

I keep bugging Clavia to do this - I want a nord electro73 with a 
nordlead3 and a good FX processor grafted into it. Would be a nice 
all-in-one setup, and I'd hock the farm to buy one.
