question about saving scenes

question about saving scenes

2000-03-15 by Kurt

I have a quick question I hope you
can answer for me. When I mess with the voice parameter knobs (I think
that's what they're called; the 8 knobs on the top left) and I find the
sound I want to keep, I try to store that particular knob setting but it
doesn't store. Doesn't one store those settings in a Scene? You know when
you change the setting, and the "Edit" shows up on the bottom left of the
LCD? Well, after I change the settings, press "Store" and one of the
"Scene" buttons simoultaneously (to store the scene) it asks me, "Sure? Y/N"
and I press "Yes" and after that, the "Edit" comes back on, and the scene
isn't stored. I can switch to a different sound, then come back to the
sound I tried to edit, and the scene's the same it was before. So my
question is obvious now. How do I store a setting I want to keep so that I
don't lose that one sound I like on a specific voice? The manual says
pretty much what I just told you above, so that isn't helping me. Is there
a certain trick to unlocking the preset sounds, or emptying a buffer or
something? Any intuitive
info on this matter would be extremely appreciated and I would be so very
grateful! Well, hope to be hearing from ya.

Thanks for your time,
kurt
