thin, lifeless, and sterile

thin, lifeless, and sterile

I was playing with the European presets (preset #1)the other night.
Fun sound, plenty of bass but even run through a tube amp with the
treble rolled off and the filter low it was still icepick thin. Went
through the effects menu slowly. High EQ was boosted 10 db! Ouch.
Normalised the eq and now have the nice fat warm analog sound.

If I could design a new AN1X I'd put in dedicated tone control knobs.

Ha!

I think the original review in EM back in '97-98 said the same
thing. You could always dedicate an Assign Knob to Data Entry to
speed up the process, but still not the same is it?
