AN1X editor one patch at a time?

AN1X editor one patch at a time?

2005-06-23 by daxe

Hi FOlks,

I recently got an AN1X. My original purpose was to use it as a MIDI
controller because it has aftertouch, but after I got it I was
delighted to find it so full of synthesizery goodness of its own.

I have the AN1X editor installed and working and have been busy
auditioning the zillions of patches available here in the group.
There is some amazing stuff in there. If I ever get any free time I
will use some of them as a starting point for learning what works
best on the AN1X. I'm not new to synths at all (started before some
of you were born, I bet) but every new synth has its quirks, ya know?

My question is if there is an easy way to take single patches out of
the banks (or groups of patches) so I would assemble my own
collection of sounds from them. I don't have the editor in front of
me at the moment, and I have editor/librarians for most of my synths,
so details of interface are fuzzy in my mind.

Gotta get to work, thanks all.

You can open several files at once, and use the "copy and paste"
function(click on "edit" logo on upper left of screen)to transfer
single patches to the blank an1xedit1 library screen. When finished,
save it, and you have a custom
bank.

Thank you! I am so used to right clicking to get the context menu
for
copy/cut/paste or (ctrl-c/ctrl-x/ctrl-v) that I never thought to look
up in the menu bar under edit.

That makes my life a lot easier. or at least this part of it.

Thanks again,
