Value of a sort-of-messed-up An1x

Value of a sort-of-messed-up An1x

2005-11-21 by Pete Nalda

Hi,
Ok I'm thinking of selling my an1x but not sure what
to ask as it does need some work, and from what I've
heard may not be fixable. I'm looking into replacing
it with a casio wk3500 since that has a drawbar
feature for organ sounds (that's mostly what I use the
An1x for anyway).

Anyway, the top 4 control knobs are wobbly but still
work though geting the push in feature is a bit hard
to get working. I think the pc board that's under
them is loose. Also the ac adaptor plug looks like
it's out of alignment but not much. Finally, the
bottom is scratched up a bit (pitted) from being in a
bag with a stand. Also my lowest c note doesn't work.

So I'm thinking of putting up for sale locally but
wasn't sure what I should ask for it. Seems that good
ones are going for around 3-4 hundred. So any ideas?

TIA

I'd shoot for $150-200, sounds you like you're upfront regarding the keyboards condition
- I think buyers appreciate that. Aside from the physical condition it sounds as though it's
still perfectly functional as a sound module - and it's not like it can't be programmed,
played or controlled from a remote source. I've used a Korg microKNTROL to control my
AN1x just on a lark!

Hmm. I would chuck it in the bin. But people will buy any old tat on eBay,
I suppose, so you may as well try your luck ...
