Hello atari people(this is mel,with email address john,tim)This is 
going to sound a dum question,but what type is the port on the back 
of atari ste520 for harddrives

Its called DMA, and it is NOT IDE. Mario Becroft makes a converter. See my 
download faq page for the link.
