yes sharie this is a probable cure. i am not familiar with a tx802 but if its alike any sound modual what your asking for is kniwn or refered to as"intalization"or factory presets. to reset most keyboards and such its a function which involves FIRST turn off the power suplly SECOND depress or hold down two of the units contol buttons THIRD AND FINALLY turn power back on and
follo machines lcd screen instructions i hope very muych that this will help charles

Oh no... It doesn't work that way.
I have a TX7. If you initialize it, it will just be empty. You need to 
download the original presets off the internet. Good luck in your 
search.

Hi "Sharkie",

did you still need the factory performances for the TX802 ?

I have them available in GenPatch format (+ all the other original 
settings) and I could mail them to you together with GENPATCH.ACC, so 
you could transmit them via ATARI or any MIDI-connected Emulator 
(STEEM is great) to your TX802.

If you use GenPatch I could also send you some great CONFIGs to get 
the best out of you ATARI/TX802 setup.
