Tracker / Software Synth Question for the Atari Falcon

Tracker / Software Synth Question for the Atari Falcon

2009-06-18 by atarifalcon030

Hello Atari Folks,

Does anyone know of a tracker or software synth for the Falcon that combines both the YM chip sounds with the DSP sounds? I seem to find programs that do one or the other but not both...

If any exist, are they MIDI playable from a keyboard controller?

Thanks!

Such software does not exist. I wrote a falcon softsynth years ago that
accepts plug-ins and I considered a ym plug-in but alas never wrote it. I
recommend buying an STE and using MaxYMizer for cool midi controlled YM
sounds. Then you can use your falcon to run ACE Midi. That would give you
access to all kinds of sonic possibilities via midi. -j

Hi,

Falcon030 You can use one of the Electronic Cow pieces of software to generate YM Samples and use them in ACE tracker?
Or just sample the sounds! Combining ACE MIDI and MaxYMiser sound like fun!

redspecter I'd like to get a copy of the software you mentioned developing, Was it released publicly?

Cheers

Hi,

you load samples in ACE tracker. But when you like the sound of the YM
chip you shout use MaxYMizer.
Here you get the tracker version for free.

For ACE Midi you have to pay. Please do it because it's a very powerful
program. :-)
