Important message regarding Yahoo groups

2019-10-16 by d.etheridge1@...

All members please note.

Yahoo has made the decision to no longer allow users to upload content to the Yahoo Groups site. Beginning October 21, you won't be able to upload any more content to the site, and as of December 14 all previously posted content on the site will be permanently removed. You'll have until that date to save anything you've uploaded.

I have downloaded all the files (I think) and posted them here:

They should be around for a long time.

Thanks,
Mark

Wonderful , thanks very much.
I was wondering how to get them all & put them somewhere.

Did you also get all the file from main Atari list files section?

Thankyou David for bringing this to our attention.

This list has been very quiet now for the last couple of years, only
three posts this year & five the year before
I'm wondering if it should carry on.

So, I'm soliciting opinions:

1: Carry on with Yahoo, - no files or other services

2: Move to Groups.io - many other lists have migrated there in the
last couple of years

3: Forget it all

What do you think?

I used a program called pg offline which somehow still actually works for files at least.\ufffd Not photos.

I downloaded the other group files if that's what you mean.

I find the postings helpful, even though I do very little with Atari now. I vote for option 2.

YamahaDX was also moved to Groups.io. I vote for option 2.
