AVR32 is a full blown processor with MMU, etc. It is suppose to do about 3x
the mips per mhz that an ARM9 does. The NWG100 board ($73 from mouser?) has
linux installed and the complete BSP and development environment (including
eclipse IDE) are downloadable from www.atmel.com. The kernel has it's own
server somewhere as well. There seems to be quite an active community
supporting it and Atmel seems to be seriously supporting GCC/Linux as well.
Also, the JTAG mkII works with the AVR32...

Does the AVR32 have a MMU? Usuall ucLinux is used on the systems
that do not have Memory Management Units, so there many
never be a '"full-blown" Linux'.
