The AVR32 runs Linux, not uClinux, for the reason you state. The OP is asking about the C library. It seems to be a version of uClibc, not "full-blown" libc. My guess is that this is because the AVR32 does not have a keyboard, screen, disks, etc. (i.e. it is not a complete computer). But, I am not an expert in this area and the OP must suspect that a full implementation of libc is somehow possible or he would not have asked the question. Graham.
