you sure about that?  I tried it and it still seemed to limit the 
search range to about 400 messages.  for example, replace 300 with 
1000 and it says "Searched Messages 1000-618 of 4489".  it only seems 
to change the starting point - not exactly an improvement.

I've looked at PGoffline but that seems like the hard way to search 
though once you get the messages, its more like what I've come to 
expect.  I just use google to find stuff and dont bother with yahoo 
group search unless I'm *really* desperate.  I guess yahoo wants me 
to use google.  wish there was a google groups (yeah, I know, 
usenet...).

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
