I think all your need are these:
gcc-3.3.2.tar.bz2 - GNU C Compiler
gcc-core-3.3.2.tar.bz2 - GNU C Compiler Core
Library
gcc-g++-3.3.2.tar.bz2 ; - GNU C Compiler C++
Library
gcc-testsuite-3.3.2.tar.bz2 - GNU C Complier
Test Files
You will also need make, which is to use make file to compiler and link your c code and any of the obj library file needed!!!

Subject: [AVR-Chat] which gcc
Hi listers,
I would like to have avr dev tools
(avr-libc-1.0.4) on my RH9. I have no
experiences in installing/updating gcc packages.
In my system, current gcc version 3.2.2, current
binutils version 2.13.x (I
forgot the x, now I am in XP box :(
Can I just use current gcc and binutils for
installing avr-libc-1.0.4 ?
If I should get gcc recommended by
"README", which one(s) should I download
from this list?
gcc-3.3.2.tar.bz2
gcc-ada-3.3.2.tar.bz2
gcc-core-3.3.2.tar.bz2
gcc-g++-3.3.2.tar.bz2
gcc-g77-3.3.2.tar.bz2
gcc-java-3.3.2.tar.bz2
gcc-objc-3.3.2.tar.bz2
gcc-testsuite-3.3.2.tar.bz2
TIA
Fahmy
