I know what you mean. :-) But the "much better" BETA tape format didn't get anywhere compared to VHS. That's life, we choose a "minority" operating system and we have to live with the consequences. Mind you when I was young and foolish I didn't want a bar of Windows either. I felt sick when I saw the first Mac with a white screen and a mouse. That will never take off. CP/M or DOS were my love...but then I grew up and for many years I have enjoyed the ease of using Windows as well as the associated pain. But that's just me.
