Re: [AVR-Chat] Need large display and keypad for the EVK1100

Steve,
Interfacing to the keypad isn't a big deal; you can visit our www.pdksolutions.com for an example.

However, the largest lcd display I've seen is 40x4; to get 8 lines you'll probably have to go with a graphical module. Again, not a big deal, just a bit more complicated of a driver.

We're planning an AVR32 board; email or call me for details.

Subject: [AVR-Chat] Need large display and keypad for the EVK1100

  Hello,

I am new to this group and to the AVR processor, but not new to imbedded
  systems design.

I am working on a project that requires an imbedded microprocessor, and
after much research, it seems like the AVR32 will fill the bill quite
nicely, and the EVK1100 board will do almost everything I need for this
project. However, I will a keypad (perhaps 16 keys) and a larger display
(at least 8 lines of 40 characters). It would actually be nice to use a
  touch screen display.

Does anyone know of someone who has interfaced a larger display and keypad
to this board, and if so, how I could get the information to do this along
with software drivers? I don't want to reinvent the wheel, but concentrate
strictly on my project. I have tried Google and other resources, and have
found lots of things for the AVR, but not the AVR32. The AVR is somewhat
  underpowered for my project.

  Thank you for your help.

  Steve Jacobson
