I posted my original question there, but I have gotten no response.  Is the
AVR32 so new that there isn't the community of users out there yet?  It
looks like the AVR32UC3 will do most anything you want with lots of headroom
(MIPS, memory, etc.) and better bang for the buck.

I could use an ATMega AVR for my project, but the AVR32 will let me do the
same thing without worrying about counting cycles or if I am running out of
memory for a bit less cost.

AVR Freaks (www.avrfreaks.net) has several forum sections devoted to the
AVR32. You are likely to find folks with a lot more AVR32 experience
there. Most, but clearly not all, the folks on this list deal with the
Mega and Tiny devices.
