I'm going to learn ATMEL AtMega8535 programming, so I bought:

STK-500
AVRISP MKII
1 breadbord
2 books: programming and customizing the avr microcontroller + Embedded C 
programming and the atmel AVR

What do you think if I use IAR Embedded Workbench as C compiler ?
What version ?
