A good compiler for a beginner is WINAVR.

Google for it.

Good beginner project, not to many things to get wrong.

You asked about this before.

You CAN NOT run a USB webcam with an 8535.
This is not a beginner project.

Get your sprinkler working first, same time next year you can look at another simple project.
