You might just be seeing a price drop on the Mk2 because the current model is mk3.

Another ebay auction refers to "MODEL: JTAGICE2 MKII CN . AVR studio
recognize it as JTAGICE MKII, fully compatible with original. And
UPGRADABLE."  . "recognize it as JTAGICE MKII" ???  Anyone use this device?

 

I'm getting nervous seeing things that appear JTAGICE Mk2 "like" .
