I dont see anything about an SSD1928 protocol. There is an SSD1928 chip that appears to have an I2C interface. So, if that is how an AVR might connect, then it ought to talk to the chip. On the other hand, that is a graphics controller. The question with graphics is almost always: Where do all those bytes come from?
