One thing I didn't seem mentioned is that most Solid State Relays, (SSR) are most often strictly and only AC output. Also the inputs are very specific. if it is logic level then only the 5V DC is needed and the rest of the driving circuit is not needed as it would be driving an optolator inside the SSR. In other words, get the data sheet on the SSR and make sure you are following it. Dave
