Got following message from Paul Gehrls of  Digi-Key in response to a email
to them yesterday concerning John Trompson being one of their employees. Of
course I too would have been shocked if he was a employee of Digi-Key.
However, if he was they needed to know about him.

Our webmaster asked me to do some digging on the issue that you sent her and
the fact that some guy that doesn't work here is putting out messages on the
chat room that you visit.  What is it that he did that made this seem odd to
you? The fact that someone is claiming to hire someone from a chat room to
do work?  I can say that we would never post such a thing.  I am not a
technician and am not sure what he is claiming he is looking to pay someone
to do, but I can assure you that we would not resort to this.  Do you or did
you see this message out there repeatedly or just once?  Do you have any
additional information that you did not supply?  I am not sure if there is
anything we can do about someone using our name out there or not, but will
look into if we can.
