graphical lcd

I'm trying to start a project for the next semster and I'm not really 
sure where to start on the software.  I'm using an Atmel ATmega16L to 
interface with a Microtips Graphical LCD 320x240 (MTG-
F32240BFWNNEB).  I just don't really know where to start.  Does 
someone have some sample code or done any work with graphical LCD's 
using an atmel microcontroller.  Please let me know.
