I wouldn't bother moving make.exe.

Quick way to find out what make is running type "make -v" in a 
command.com window to see what it says. No where near my WinAVR system 
but it should look something like this:

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
