Kat, I believe that if you go into the moderator section of the list web site at yahoo, then the list properties, there is an option that will allow you to select whether HTML and/or attachments will be allowed to be sent to the list. I've just removed myself as moderator from the lists I used to moderate or I could give you additional information, so going from memory here.
