AVR Studio assembler and avr gcc

I have some asm code which I've wrote in AVR Studio. Is it possible to
assemble it using avr-as and link with code written in C?

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
